Navigating the Israeli Kitchen

Yashar Yashar Ad Hasof, Navigating the Israeli Kitchen, is a new cookbook project I am involved in, intended to help new immigrants to Israel acclimate to the differences in the measurement systems, as well as working with the ingredients available to them in a foreign country. By creating shapes using just the type and its layout, this is an experiment in making type the graphic. Through the use of scale and balance, a visual hierarchy is created within the composition, and the colours reflect the category of a recipe on a given page.
